Why Bruce Springsteen Postponed 2 Upcoming Concerts
Bruce Springsteen announced that two of his upcoming concerts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, would be postponed.
The news was shared through Springsteen's official Twitter (now known as X) account on Aug. 16, with the statement revealing that the postponement is due to Springsteen developing an illness.
The statement read: "Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed. We are working on rescheduling the dates so please hold on to your tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows."

The two concerts were supposed to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and Friday, Aug. 18, and the rescheduled dates have not yet been set.
Springsteen's fans seemed to take the news well, with many sharing supportive comments and wishing for a smooth recovery in the replies.
"To Bruce. Taking care of yourself is the most important. Wishing you a speedy and complete recovery," wrote one fan, while another shared a similar note, writing, "The main and only focus is on Bruce’s health. Get well and feel better Boss man!"
Back in May, the 73-year-old music icon took a fall during a concert in Amsterdam, lying on his back on stage for a few seconds before the E Street Band members helped him up. Thankfully, it didn't seem too serious, with Springsteen laughing it off and smoothly continuing on with his show.
The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour will continue all the way into December, with many more dates in cities across North America.
Considering Springsteen only announced the postponement of his next two concerts, it seems like his team is confident the "Dancing in the Dark" singer will be recovered and well-rested by next week, when he is set to perform on Aug. 24 in Massachusetts.
