In this video, Alex Redeau pilots his e-bike on practice laps. The reason that he reached for the electric bike is because a big part of training for enduro is getting repetition on the descents. The beauty of an e-bike is that Rudeau can get more laps in but still get a workout.
Of course, a rider cannot just ride an e-bike to train. Most pros employ a combination of gym time, road biking, mountain biking, and e-biking.
One thing that Rudeau is simulating perfectly is the European race courses. European enduro courses are notoriously janky with tight turns and weird sections. This clip checks each and every one of those boxes.
Alex Rudeau is a French enduro racer for the COmmencal Enduro Project. He is coming off of an amazing 2023 World Cup effort in which he got on five podiums and got third in the overall.
