Why Garth Brooks Wants Travis Kelce to Attend His Bar's Grand Opening

Garth Brooks is opening up a new bar called Friends in Low Places next month, and while revealing the official opening date of March 7, he also personally invited none other than Travis Kelce to attend—and maybe put on a little performance.
During the new episode of Brooks' Facebook Live series, Inside Studio G, the singer addressed his fans, saying, "Did you guys see Travis Kelce’s version of 'Friends in Low Places’? Did you see him sing this?" referring to the Kansas City Chiefs player's drunk rendition of the classic song at the Super Bowl victory parade.

Fans seemed to really enjoy the performance, and so did the original artist, with Brooks saying, "I loved it, I thought it was fantastic. It blew me away because I’m sitting there watching it as it’s going down, right. I never expected that.”
While talking about his bar opening, Brooks shared that he didn't plan to be there on March 7, but that could change if Kelce joined in the festivities: "Big man, I’m just telling you this. I will be at grand opening if you’re there... I’ll be happy to send this invite out to you if you want to try a little ‘Friends in Low Places’ in Friends in Low Places.”
He even said he'd send his plane to pick Kelce up if he wanted to come to sing at the bar, adding, "You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that."
Kelce hasn't yet responded to Brooks' kind invitation, but he might already have plans that day. The 34-year-old is reportedly on his way to Australia to join girlfriend Taylor Swift on her tour, and if he intends to stay by her side as it continues in Singapore, March 7 is in the middle of her series of concerts in the country.
Even if Kelce doesn't attend the opening of Brooks' new bar, though, maybe the two can perform a duet of the hit song at some point in the future.
