Jason Kelce is ready for his next role, finally revealing that he is tentatively heading to ESPN after his NFL retirement, although nothing is official yet.
The former Philadelphia Eagles player opened up about the move on the newest episode of the podcast he shares with his brother Travis, New Heights, explaining exactly why he feels like it's the "right fit."
After making clear that nothing is official yet, Jason humbly said, "It's a tremendous honor to even be considered to potentially work there. That network was everything that Travis and I watched growing up."
Travis jumped in to emphasize how influential ESPN was for the brothers, saying that it "fueled our love for sports."
"Meeting and talking to everybody over at ESPN, it became apparent that it was really the right fit, and at the end of the day, it was something that I'm really really looking forward to—this next phase," Jason concluded.
His younger brother cheered him on, appreciating the "full circle" feeling of the career move and calling it "awesome" with a big smile on his face.
The fans were just as supportive, with comments for the Kelce brothers like, "Congratulations, Jason on your new endeavors. The audience will watch you no matter where you go," and "Congratulations to both you guys!! Keep on manifesting great things and anything you guys want to reach for, already see that it is yours!"
Along with Jason's big news, Travis also has a lot of exciting things happening right now. He just inked a new two-year contract that reportedly makes him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL, while he was also announced as the host of an Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? game show spinoff.
There is no news yet on a date for the premiere of Travis' show or Jason's alleged debut on ESPN.
