Why Kristen Doute Thinks Lisa Vanderpump’s Daughter Is Faking Her British Accent

Vanderpump Rules' Kristen Doute, 40—who was fired from the show in 2020 and made a surprise return in 2023 during "Scandoval"—isn't so sure that Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd's daughter Pandora's British accent is as real as it appears.
Doute discussed the topic on a recent episode of her podcast, Sex, Love and What Else Matters, which she hosts with boyfriend Luke Broderick. The 40-year-old alleged that Pandora's accent changes when she's "on TV or with [her] parents," adding that she "can’t handle the fake British accent."
She noted her "love" for Pandora, 37, before continuing, "We are not as close as we used to be, but … I just can’t handle it. I don’t understand why [she does it].” Doute also claimed that Broderick shared a similar opinion after watching back some of the reality series in which Pandora appears, recalling to him, “You said, ‘I hear Pandora slipping in and out of the accent.'”
The podcast host considered why Pandora might play up the British accent, saying that it could be “a respect thing” for her parents, Lisa and Ken.
While Pandora was born in London, England, she lived in many places as she grew up, including France, Monaco, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, as she shared on her Very Vanderpump blog, which Pandora and her mother run together.
Pandora attended Pepperdine University for college and settled in Beverly Hills later, where she currently lives with her Indiana-born husband, Jason Sabo. The two also share a son named Teddy. Along with Pandora, Lisa and her husband also share an adopted son named Max, while Ken has a son from an earlier marriage named Warren.
Considering Pandora's background, it wouldn't be surprising for her accent to have changed over the years, which studies have shown is possible. That said, neither Pandora nor Lisa has responded to Doute's recent comments.
