Why Machine Gun Kelly Punched a Fan in the Face During His Concert
Another day and another musician has a strange interaction with fans during a concert–this time, it was Machine Gun Kelly (known by listeners as MGK).
In a clip the "Emo Girl" singer shared to Instagram earlier this week, MGK begins conversing with a fan who reportedly held up a sign that read: "I just came from Mexico 4 u 2 punch me in the face."
"Why do you want me to punch you in the face so bad?" he asked the concertgoer.
"I love you," the fan replied.
"I got rings on dude, that s--t is gonna hurt," MGK shared.
"I don't know, it's a lose/lose for me," the 33-year-old continued, "I don't know if I'm gonna do it. I'll consider."
Then, before viewers know it, the video cuts to a clip of MGK performing his hit song "my ex's best friend," as he finishes up the chorus, the musician does, in fact, take a swing at the fan.
"making dreams come true ????," MGK later joked in the caption.
While it may seem like an odd ask, this is just the latest bizarre behavior displayed by fans at concerts.
Singer Pink recently had someone's ashes thrown at her mid-performance and during a later show, she was gifted a wheel of cheese while on stage. Eventgoers behavior has even been more extreme as Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the face by an unidentified object from the crowd about 10 days after Bebe Rexha had a cellphone intentionally thrown at her while performing in New York City, injuring her face.
