Due to its nearly $20 million price tag, the high-shine set has also been deemed the most expensive shoes in the world.

Vietri’s “Moon Star Shoes” prominently feature a metallic silver platform sandal silhouette, complete with thick soles. The pair’s base notably includes sculpted solid gold high heels, as well as swirling embellishments formed from 30 carats of diamonds. The glittering style was also crafted with Argentinian meteorite from 1576.

Though Vietri’s “Moon Star Shoes” take the title as the world’s most expensive footwear, there are a range of additional styles with similarly high prices. As previously reported in FN, Jada Dubai and Passion Jewelers’ Passion Diamond Shoes featured real gold uppers accented with hundreds of diamonds, clocking in at $17 million. In 2017, designer Debbie Wingham also released a cake-inspired pair of heeled sandals with 24 karat gold painted uppers and numerous precious gemstones, which totaled $15.45 million in total.
