Why Tim McGraw Hasn't Done a Song With Talented Daughters
Tim McGraw may be a top-tier country superstar, but that doesn't impress his daughters.
The "Live Like You Were Dying" singer shares three daughters with wife and fellow musician Faith Hill: Gracie, 26, Maggie, 24, and Audrey, 21. All three of them have proved that they inherited the country couple's chops and now, the patriarch says that he's the least talented of them all—and it may play into why the musically-inclined family hasn't pulled a Trapp Family Singers thus far.
As he prepares to head out on his Standing Room Only Tour, he chatted with Entertainment Tonight's Cassie DiLaura where he joked that he's the "worst singer" in his whole family.
"All three of them are great singers," he said of the girls, who often show off their voices on social media. He's brought up the idea of doing a song with the whole family, but the rest of them aren't so keen.
"I'd love to do a song with all five of us at some point," he said. "I talk about it all the time and they're like, 'I ain't gonna sing with you, Dad.'"
He hopes that someday he may finally talk them into it. "Maybe they'll sort of grow out of that phase a little bit where they don't want to sing with me. They'll sing with Mom, but I'm probably not up to par with the rest of them," he said. "I'm the worst singer in the family. It's true. I'm pretty good, but I'm the worst singer in the family."
