Why Travis Kelce Had to Move Out of His Home Amid Taylor Swift Romance
Travis Kelce #87 of the Kansas City Chiefs
Travis Kelce decided to move in the middle of the football season last year, and now the true reason why he wasted no time in packing up and purchasing a new home has been revealed.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end reportedly left his easily-accessible place of residence in the Briarcliff West neighborhood back in October, due to safety concerns amid his high-profile blossoming relationship with pop sensation, Taylor Swift.
According to his big brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, his privacy was becoming an issue, prompting him to up and leave his seven-bedroom digs.

The 36-year-old offered more insight into some of the downsides of his family—and specifically, his younger sibling—being thrust even more into the spotlight on a recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, which aired on Monday, Feb. 12.
“[Travis] had to completely move out of his house. People were just staying by his house. I mean [for] safety reasons, [he had to move.] And the first day he moved into the new house … [in] a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house,” he admitted to host Shaquille O'Neal of his brother's living situation, before adding that they are "still learning" how to deal with the hype of it all.
Jason continued: “Listen, we’ve always been big in the football world, Travis especially. The Taylor world and the pop culture world, that’s a whole different level—it’s just an added level, a new demographic that wasn’t there before.”
As Parade previously reported, the newly-minted three-time Super Bowl champ purchased a home in the Midwestern region a few months ago—a lavish mansion in a gated community for just under $6 million.
The luxury accommodation boasts over 16,000 square feet of living space and a pool with a waterfall, in addition to tennis and pickleball courts and a mini golf course. Additionally, it offers more seclusion and privacy than his previous house—one of the main reasons for the upgrade, after unwarranted visitors began popping up to scope out the place (possibly hoping for a pop star sighting?).
Folks had wondered at the time if the Catching Kelce's willingness to spring for a more luxurious property was due to Swift already planning to move in, but that was not the case. Turns out, he was just in need of something a bit more locked down amid his new connection to the "Lavender Haze" singer.
