Why Travis Kelce's Thanksgiving Dinners Always 'Ended in Tears'

The holidays can be stressful, even for a family as tight-knit and supportive of one another as that of Jason and Travis Kelce.
While discussing their favorite and most despised dishes featured in their Thanksgiving dinner spread for Wednesday's (Nov. 22) episode of their New Heights podcast, the Philadelphia Eagles player rehashed an age-old memory that his younger brother would like to forget.
"Our Thanksgivings, we've talked about this before...it just always ended in tears," Jason began, explaining that Travis is apparently "very picky" regarding what he'll eat. "With Travis at the table and dad [Ed Kelce] screaming at him."
"Don't take me back," Travis interjected.
"Yeah, we've already talked about it," Jason added.
"I'm thankful," the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared before his brother reenacted previous dinner scenes, yelling, "EAT THE FOOD!" he continued, mocking their father, "Be thankful."
Jason's impersonation must've been spot on, leaving Travis speechless and laughing.
As Jason hinted, the two have previously discussed the topic at hand, just not in so much detail, joking that the best way to "piss off Ed Kelce" would be "not finishing the food on your plate."
The pre-Thanksgiving Day podcast conversation then shifted to discuss the duo's must-haves, which for Jason, included Mama Kelce's dinner rolls, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, corn and pork chops. Travis, on the other hand, only needs three things on the table: a honey baked ham (specifically with the sugar crust and pineapples on top), Mama Kelce's dinner rolls, and mac and cheese, though he wouldn't be upset if there was a Hawaiian roll tossed on his plate too.
"I'm out on stuffing, I'm out on casseroles," Travis added. "What I do like is yams, candied yams." And before you ask, he doesn't like cranberry sauce either.
Though they clearly have very different tastes, the Kelce brothers can agree on one thing: forgoing the turkey.
