Wichita designer heading to Paris Fashion Week
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A local clothing designer will represent Wichita in France after being invited to show her designs at Paris Fashion Week, which is a pretty big deal.
“I feel very proud,” said Hazel Stabler. “I am going to be representing Wichita very proudly.”
Stabler tells KSN that her line Buffalo Hunt Camp incorporates her own Native American and Hispanic culture into the designs, and she is involved in every step of creating them.

“I have spent my life sharing my culture,” she said. “It’s always been important to me to be able to share my culture, and there’s no better way than to do it through fashion.”
“All of my work is couture work,” she said. “I draft my own patterns, I choose my own fabrics, I make the clothes myself, I embellish them myself, so I do the whole – I’m the whole package deal.”
Stabler has been preparing for her show for nine months. Paris Fashion Week begins Sept. 23 and runs through the end of the month.
