A Wild 'GoT' Theory Claims Melisandre's "Green Eyes" Prophecy Proves Arya Kills Cersei

From Cosmopolitan

  • Game of Thrones fans think Arya is destined to kill Cersei thanks to Melisandre's prophecy about eye color.

  • FYI, there are spoilers in this article! If you haven't seen Sunday's episode of Game of Thrones, shield your eyes!

Hey, hi, good morning to those of you who got zero sleep thanks to staying up super late to watch Game of Thrones! As you likely know by now, Arya straight-up killed the Night King in an end-of-episode plot twist literally no one saw coming. And turns out the moment was fully prophesied by Melisandre, who met Arya back in the day and was all, "I see a darkness in you, and in that darkness eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes. Eyes you will shut forever."

Wow, totally normal thing to tell a little kid, not at all scary! Anyway, everyone's been freaking out about this scene thanks to Arya killing the blue-eyed bae that is the Night King, and lord (of light) knows she's killed enough people with brown eyes over the years.

But if we're going to interpret Melisandre's eye prediction in *order,* she has yet to kill the someone with green eyes. And um...you know who has green eyes? CERSEI THAT'S WHO:

Honestly fans might lose it if poor Jon Snow doesn't get to kill any of his enemies this season, but Cersei has been on Arya's list of names forever and frankly she deserves this. That said, Cersei is a wine-guzzling icon who deserves to live forever. Ugh.
