Will You Be Leg Contouring This Summer?
From jawlines to cleavage, it is safe to say that just about any part of your body can be contoured these days. And makeup artist Meri (known as @makeupbymeri on social media) makes the case for contouring your legs — and a pretty solid one, at that. On Instagram, she shared a revealing video on the practice, with the caption, “Inspired by the Anatomy of the Human body book of my son.” Meri notes that key products in her artistry came from brands including Estee Lauder, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Morpe, Opvlashes and MAC. The end result appears to be glowing, toned legs achieved through the careful blending shown in the video.
While Meri released her video back in 2016, the nearing summer months have put the transfixing video back in hot circulation — and it’s gotten more than 364,000 views to date.
Still, while this does seem like an inspiring way to fake top-model legs, it isn’t exactly practical when it comes to applying the technique on yourself while hurrying to get out the door, or if your are wearing white clothing — or if you will simply be attempting to sit anywhere without rubbing loads of makeup onto your seat.
Leg contouring simply isn’t as easy as carving out chiseled cheeks or pumped-up clavicles. But it is hard to deny that watching the process happen in Meri’s video is mesmerizing. Just try it, and see for yourself.
Just in case you can’t keep up with Meri’s contouring skills, take a look at the following videos, too, for a little more intel. Do we smell the reemergence a leg contouring social media challenge on the horizon? Who’s game?
