Wills and Kate Were Caught on Camera Exchanging a Rare Flirty Look
The royals are gearing up for the release of their holiday special *checks notes* Royal Carols: Together at Christmas, and ITV just dropped the trailer which features Prince William and Kate Middleton having a flirty M-O-M-E-N-T.
Which is a big deal due to the fact that William and Kate honestly have very few flirty moments due to royal protocol. But these two were caught exchanging a sly smile and giving each other a look during Ellie Goulding's performance of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" at Kate's carol service—which the Daily Mail speculates could have something to do with the fact that Ellie was their wedding singer.
Watch below for vibes:
While this look is obviously far from a typical PDA moment, it is a rare display of public affection between Kate and William who usually keep things super professional at events. Though, different rules apply to different royal activities. As royal etiquette expert Myka Meier once told People “Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or cannot show PDA and would be trusted to use their better judgment as to when it’s appropriate. The royals often adjust PDA to mirror the formality of the event they are attending. At a somber or more formal event, we are less likely to see PDA than at a casual event where it would be deemed more fitting.”
Kay, BRB while I go find someone to stare at me meaningfully while Ellie Goulding sings.
