She's so excited about this cat though.
We always preach the words 'adopt, don’t shop' because well, for starters, it gives precious animals a second chance with a forever family. Adopting really saves their lives. Plus, adopting is way cheaper...usually.
TikTok user @chloevmitchell fell in love with a cat at a shelter in Western Michigan. She was all about adopting the sweet fur baby. That is until she saw what kind of money it would cost her. You’ll be blown away at what this shelter asks for the adoption fee. TikTokers are furious!

O.M.G. We’re so glad she has the funds to adopt this cat, especially since she’s so excited. But honestly, how in the world are shelter animals so expensive?! We’ve never heard of someone needing $900 to adopt a cat.

TikTokers cannot believe the shelter is charging all this for a cat, especially since they won’t DNA test the fur baby. And neither can we! @kate_halstrum suggested, “On the adoption contract, make sure it says word for word she’s an F5 Savannah cat and get the cost. Get a DNA test and get your money back.” That’s not a bad idea!
