Woman gets Halloween 'devil teeth' stuck in her mouth
Finding a good costume for Halloween can be a blow to your bank account. So spare a thought for one reveler who not only paid for an outfit but also had to pay to have it removed.
As part of Anna Tew’s zombie costume, the Alabama native decided to don a set of fake “devil teeth” over the weekend, fixing them in place with a temporary glue that came with them, local TV station WKRG reported.
But when she tried to take them off, the fake teeth just wouldn’t budge. “It went on and on … I tried until it was like 2 o’clock this morning. They wouldn’t budge,” she revealed. A concerned Tew took a pair of wire clippers to her new gnashers, but to no avail. As the pain began to worsen, her last resort was to contact an emergency dentist.
According to Tew, the dentist was concerned the temporary $3 set would pull out her actual teeth. Treading carefully, John Murphy began working delicately on the teeth. “He went in and picked and pulled and I squealed like a baby, and they got them out,” she revealed.
Unfortunately, Tew isn’t the only one to end up in need of medical attention due to a Halloween costume. Earlier this month, a mother in the U.K. had a similar ordeal after she confused face paint with a more permanent substance. At least in Tew’s case, this time will be the last. She told WKRG she will “never” be trying the stunt again.
