Woman plans to marry the 'Tetris' video game after she graduates from college
Noorul Mahjabeen Hassan, 20, says she’ll marry the puzzle video game Tetris in a ceremony with friends after she graduates.

“I love him so much and get an immense sense of satisfaction with him. I have a strong connection with him and have invested so much in him,” Hassan told Metro.
Hassan, who goes by the name Fractal Tetris Huracan, is an objectum sexual, someone who is attracted to inanimate objects instead of people. “I had feelings for monorails, iPods, treadmills but then from fifth grade (age 10) onwards, that was the first time I had real feelings towards a Garmin GPS,” says Fractal.
And she isn’t alone. Objectum sexuals are rare but not unheard of. Erika Eiffel may be the most notable example, as she married, and then later broke up with, the Eiffel Tower.
Eiffel is the founder of OS Internationale, an organization that offers support to other objectum sexuals (also called objectophiles).
Fractal says she’s been in a relationship with Tetris for over a year and that she was previously in love with a calculator named Pierre. She says she plays Tetris up to 12 hours a day on her phone and her Gameboy and on websites.
“I think Tetris is so beautiful. He is about perfection, and he stimulates your mind. Physically I get that feeling that people in relationships get, that you know they are the right one,” says Fractal.
Fractal doesn’t show her devotion just by playing Tetris, she also has Tetris lamps in her house, wears shirts emblazoned with the iconic T-shaped Tetris bricks, and wears a Tetris necklace.
But she makes it clear that being an objectophile is not a sexual fetish. “A fetish is sexual, whereas objectum sexual is more romantic,” says Fractal. “You have actual feelings and feel like you emotionally connect with the objects.”
Fractal hopes that by sharing her story, she can raise awareness about objectum sexuality. “I am not doing anyone or anything any harm,” she says. “What is the issue?”
She says she’s been criticized in the past for her interests but that she doesn’t take unkind words to heart. “They think it’s weird, but I ask them to give me one good reason why I shouldn’t date Tetris and they can’t,” she says.
