‘Wonder Woman’ star Gal Gadot comments on Greta Thunberg and the state of the planet
Gal Gadot plays the role of Wonder Woman on the silver screen, but she also seems to be a wonder woman in real life. Her accomplishments span several industries outside of film. Although her Hollywood career started with modeling, she studied law and international relations and was even a combat readiness instructor in the Israel Defense Forces (all before the age of 18, by the way). In 2020, Gadot, who is a mother of two, is set to star in the much-anticipated blockbuster sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Now she is adding sustainability to the list. Yahoo Lifestyle sat down with Gadot, who she had a lot to say about her health, Greta Thunberg, and the state of the planet.
The actress opened up about her views concerning climate change saying, “The same way we care and treat our homes, we should take care of the planet.”
So how does Gadot focus on sustainability? Just like the rest of us: recycling, participating in ‘meatless Mondays,’ and bringing her own bags to the grocery store. She also teaches her daughters about sustainability, adding, “It’s all about the next generation.” Gadot even cited 17-year-old activist Thunberg as a source of inspiration.
The actress recently announced her partnership with Smartwater and said she is “relieved” that the company is focused on sustainability (their new bottle design uses 100 percent recycled plastic).
Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released in theaters on June 5, 2020.
