Kylie Jenner reveals the surprising name for her baby girl
Kylie Jenner has finally revealed the name of her baby girl: Stormi.
In accordance with the understated way that Kylie announced she had given birth, there was no huge magazine spread or name reveal. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star shared the news on Instagram, along with a new photo of her little one. She later updated her post to reflect that the baby was giving boyfriend Travis Scott’s legal last name of Webster.
This is the first baby for Jenner, 20, and her boyfriend, Travis Scott, 25. Kylie gave birth on Feb. 1 and didn’t even address her pregnancy until after welcoming Stormi.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,” Jenner shared on Sunday. “I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”
Jenner added, “Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it. I appreciate my friends and especially my family for helping me make this special moment as private as we could. … I’ve never felt love and happiness like this I could burst! Thank you for understanding.”
Kylie gave fans a sneak peek into her journey over the last nine months in a video titled, “To Our Daughter.”
The internet has been buzzing for days over what the name of Kylie’s little one would be. (Mariposa, Butterfly, and something with a “C” were lead contenders.) Now, everyone has their answer.
