Workaholic Ryan Seacrest Names His Next Dream Job
The devil works hard, but Ryan Seacrest works harder. The A-list TV host, who got his start as a middle-of-the-night radio DJ, has a resumé that rivals Hollywood's busiest. Of course, Seacrest is most well known for being the host of American Idol, which is heading into its 22nd season, but that's far from Seacrest's only gig. He also hosts several radio shows each week including the American Top 40, he's been counting down to midnight on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve since 2005 and he's served as an executive producer on dozens of television shows including Keeping up with the Kardashians and its many sequels and spinoffs. (Seacrest is perhaps the one person hustling harder than Kris Jenner.)

Until recently, Ryan Seacrest also served as Kelly Ripa's co-host on Live with Kelly and Ryan, but he announced his exit from that show in February. Never one to let moss grow under his feet, Seacrest recently snatched the hosting gig of Wheel of Fortune, taking over from longtime host Pat Sajak, upon the latter's retirement. If you think that's enough for Seacrest, however, think again.

In an interview with Good Morning America on Sept. 18, 2023 to discuss the upcoming season of American Idol, Seacrest brought up that he is a "massive foodie," and "would love to do [a food show] some day." A cooking show is perhaps the one area of television hosting short of Ice Road Truckers that Seacrest hasn't ventured into.
Robin Roberts, herself a busy woman, exclaimed, "Would you leave something for the rest of us?" to which he responded, "What are you talking about? There's seven days a week. Sundays are slow for me."
So watch your back, Gordon Ramsay. Someone else may be serving up that Beef Wellington before you know it.
