The World’s 8 Best Hotels for Foodies
We will travel for food. In fact, we have definitely traveled for food. But in those cases, we actually left our hotels. For all the lazy foodies out there (join the club) who want to bundle your stay with some of the best meals of your life, consider one of these eight hotels with incredible food. Unfortunately, that does mean you have to leave your room to head to the on-site restaurant(s), but we believe in you.

Mandarin Oriental: Hong Kong, China
This five-star hotel with ten bars and restaurants overlooking Victoria Harbor is worth the 16-hour-plus flight all by itself. Our favorite in-hotel dining, though, is Man Wah, the Michelin-starred traditional Cantonese-style eatery that offers sweeping views of the harbor and skyline. (Psst: We hear you can’t pass up the Peking duck.)
Belmond Charleston Place: Charleston, SC
You already know the South is a foodie haven (biscuits and gumbo and BBQ, oh my!). But stay at the Belmond and you’ll never want to leave (although you should step out for a peak at Rainbow Row and historic Chucktown). The on-site five-star Charleston Grill (one of four restos at the Belmond) offers four different tasting menus—Southern, Lush, Pure and Cosmopolitan—developed by all-star southern chef Michelle Weaver. Oh, and it also has live jazz every night. Guess you really don’t need to leave.
Inverlochy Castle Hotel: Torlundy, Scotland
The first British chef to have a three-Michelin-starred restaurant, chef Albert Roux, knows what he’s doing. In the summer, he leaves his London fine-dining establishment for Inverlochy Castle to serve up world-class food like short ribs in red wine sauce and truffle and butternut squash ravioli, all with a French flair. Plus, you’re staying in a real Scottish Highlands castle. What’s not to Instagram like?

The Breakers: Palm Beach, FL
The swanky Florida outpost is a favorite of royalty and A-listers alike, so you have to assume the nine on-site restaurants deliver on a foodie-paradise promise. From seafood to Italian, guests want for naught at the luxury resort with its perfectly manicured grounds and private stretch of pristine white-sand beaches.
Tenuta Cammarana: Ragusa, Italy
Of course, you can’t really go wrong, food-wise, in Italy. But if you’re in search of an intimate dining experience, look no further than this adorable bed-and-breakfast in the olive-grove-covered Ibleo Plateau of southern Sicily. Our recommendation: You can’t miss the supper club, carefully curated each night from the surrounding farms on the estate by chef and owner Giuseppe and paired with the perfect wine from their own cellars. Mangia!
Table on Ten: Bloomville, NY
This rustic Catskills bed-and-breakfast’s atmosphere and aesthetic are centered around food and community. Stay in one of three rooms above the restaurant, and eat your meals at one of the communal picnic tables throughout the day. One bite of the red eggs in a pan for breakfast and you’ll learn the meaning of simple perfection. The seasonal farm-to-table menus are a food-lover’s slice of paradise.
The Crawford Hotel: Denver, CO
This restored train-depot-slash-hotel located in the historic Union Station is a must-see in the Rocky Mountain state. Foodies can grab a seasonal cocktail at the Cooper Lounge on the mezzanine overlooking downtown Denver through 28-foot cast-iron windows and marble columns or test out one of the other nine bars and restaurants located in the terminal.
The White Hart Inn: Salisbury, CT
Voted one of America’s best new restaurants of 2015, this elegantly outfitted Berkshires estate has 16 gorgeous rooms and three restaurants helmed by British chef Annie Wayte. Both the Dining Room and Tap Room serve delicious farm-to-table comfort food that would make any traveler drool. We’re talkin’ beer-battered fish and chips, pork chops and a lamb burger with goat cheese.
