These World Cup soccer fans are showing team spirit with makeup artistry
Every four years, people around the world forget their differences and come together for one reason: World Cup soccer. This year, it’s going on until July 15 and has brought teams and their spirited fans from 32 countries to Russia. Among those rallying around their players are a bunch of creative women who are combining their passion for soccer with their love of makeup to craft colorful flag-inspired creations.
Utah resident and Mexico native Mabel Cervantes Vergugo, 17, says her love for the game inspired her to showcase support for her team through beautiful red, white, and green makeup.

“When the World Cup comes around, Mexico fans are some of the most supportive, and I’m always fascinated seeing them at games. I myself hope one day I could go support Mexico in the World Cup,” she tells Yahoo Lifestyle. “It’s something everyone looks forward to!”
