The World's Last Secret Spot: Perfect Waves You Can't Surf

Ever dream about stumbling across an undiscovered perfect wave like Bob Laverty found G-Land?

The dream's simple, really. Find perfect wave, build palm frond hut (or luxury resort), surf your brains out, and live happily ever after.

Probably not gonna happen. But there is an island out there shut off from the Western world, surrounded by perfect waves. The kicker? We can't surf them. No way, no how. Surfer and YouTuber Dan Harmon shares the story below.

Harmon captioned his vlog above:

"The Perfect Waves You’ll NEVER Surf…

"Did you know there’s an island surrounded by perfect waves, with no one out, ever? The only catch, is you’re not allowed to surf them.

"The other day I was up late, in a geography documentary rabbit hole (one of my favourite pastimes, other than surfing), when I came across this island.

"The island is home to one of the last un contacted tribes on Earth, with a unique history, and several fascinating incidents of “contact” from the outside world. This video explores that story. Enjoy!"

This surfer's dreamland is North Sentinel Island. It's one of the Andaman Islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal located in the Indian Ocean.

Harmon says it's "surrounded by perfect rights, perfect lefts, A-frame peaks, beaches, and that there's nobody out, ever."

Then he adds:

"Before you tell me to get fucked, a place like this does actually exist. The only catch is, nobody's allowed to surf it."

That's because the island is home to one of the last "uncontacted tribes on earth."

And it's perfect uncrowded waves?

"The island is famous for being off-limits and out of bounds for any outsider," Harmon says.
