Jackson Hole is bouncing back from a slow start to the season: the iconic Jackson-Hole-hosted competition Kings and Queens of Corbet's was cancelled due to the conditions being not quite there, but now, things have turned around in a big way.

Even better, moderate to heavy snow is predicted to continue falling at the resort this week until Friday.

Grand Targhee Resort was closed on Saturday citing road closures, hazardous winds, avalanche danger and the safety of employees and guests on site.

The Ghee received 21 inches of snow on Friday night, followed by 6 inches in the last 24 hours. The resort now has a base depth of 118 inches.

At Grand Targhee, the season total for snowfall is 353 inches.

Even with how much snow has fallen over the weekend, their season total is still behind average. The resort reports a seasonal average of 500 inches.

There's still time, though, as Grand Targhee plans to remain open until April 21st.
