The X Factor's Ella Henderson Has The Cutest Great 'British Baking Show' Tradition
Lovely human and X Factor alumna Ella Henderson brought us inside of her home kitchen and showed us all of her favorite parts of it. First things first: Everyone who enters her home has to choose an angel healing card and gets served her specialty shot, so we officially want her to be our new BFF.
Ella began by explaining her angel healing card tradition. Whenever she has friends over, which hasn't been for a while because of lockdown, she requires them all to pull a card out of a vase. Each has a word that is meant to be their mantra for the day, and while showing us her home kitchen, her card for the day was appropriately "love." Seriously, so cute.
Though she doesn't typically spend a lot of time in her London home, ever since the pandemic began, she's had the chance to really give this space more personality. At the moment, her fridge is full of sauces...including more than three different kinds of mayo and her mother's homemade marmalade. She also highly suggests everyone to keep their skincare and face masks in the fridge for them to be extra cool and soothing when worn.
One of Ella's favorite parts of the kitchen is a plate warmer that she uses when hosting people so their food can stay warm. She loves snacks like popcorn and nuts but insists you'll never find parsley or Brussels sprouts in her home. Like, never. In her words, they're both "vile," which is the hottest take I've heard in a while.
She loves cooking, though, so she will typically never go for processed foods, though she loves to order in desserts from local bakeries when watching The Great British Bake-Off. She's admittedly a huge Mary Berry fan and has a soft spot for Paul Hollywood. Then again, who doesn't?
