Y&R Spoilers: Claire Looks To Find Her Place as a Newman
The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, March 20 focus on Claire finally accepting that she is a Newman, and wondering where she belongs and how she fits in. The Newmans are on hand to help her out with that. Reminder: Y&R will be preempted on Thursday and Friday for March Madness.
First and Foremost
Nobody becomes a Newman until Victor (Eric Braeden) says they’re a Newman. For instance, neither Cassie (Camryn Grimes) nor Johnny (Paxton Mishkind) were born biological Newmans. But Victor announced that they are his grandchildren, and so it is decided.
On the other hand, Adam (Mark Grossman, who explained why Adam doesn’t accept Claire) was born a Newman. But Victor periodically reminds him that the mere snap of Victor’s finger can be taken away. So Claire (Hayley Erin) needs to go on bended knee to her grandfather, and see who he believes her to be.
Over the River and Through the Woods
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is a different story. She and Claire have already bonded, and Claire backed up Nikki’s plan to see Jordan (Colleen Zenk — find out more about her here). They’re good. Time to go shopping and do other grandma-granddaughter things. Like ganging up on crazy aunts.
The Parent Trap
At least, Mom and Dad are already completely in Claire’s corner. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Cole (J. Eddie Peck — did you know THIS about him?) are willing to do anything they can to make up for lost time with their lost baby girl. The concern is that they might go too far in the other direction, smothering Claire with love until she’s desperate to escape another nutty guardian.
Sibling Revelry
We realize that Connor (Judah Mackey) finding out he and Johnny were brothers trumps all else — even Johnny’s feelings. But what about Claire’s newfound siblings? There’s Reed, there’s Johnny and there’s Katie. Would she like to meet them? Would they like to meet her?
Claire seemed to really hit it off with Harrison (Kellen Eriquez). Maybe she can hang with her younger siblings before she is overwhelmed by trying to deal with Victor, Nikki, Victoria, and Cole. Claire likes kids. And they’re likely to be more chill.
It seems that the Newmans support Claire as she struggles to connect with her new family. Of course, Claire also experiences something of a nightmare before the whole thing is over.
