Yellowstone' Season 4 Will Be Totally Different When the Paramount Network Series Returns

In just a few months, we'll finally get answers to our questions about the Dutton family's fate.

Following months of speculation and disappointment (to say the least), Paramount Network recently announced that Yellowstone season 4 will make its return on Sunday, November 7 — more than one year after the shocking season 3 finale. As if that wasn't enough, the network kept their promise that season 4 will be "worth the wait" and will air two back-to-back episodes on premiere night. That's right, buckle up because we're kicking off the new season with two hours on Dutton Ranch!

But that's not the only difference this time-around: Right after the second episode wraps, fans should keep watching to get an exclusive look at Mayor of Kingstown and 1883, two new Paramount+ series from the mind of Yellowstone creator, Taylor Sheridan.

Mayor of Kingstown is the first of the two series to make its debut: Premiering exclusively on Paramount+ on Sunday, November 14, the drama follows the McLusky family, who in many ways, have a similar dynamic to the Duttons (a complicated one at that). Instead of ranching, Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) and his family are in the business of for-profit prisons — yep, it's just as messy as it sounds. 1883 trails closely behind, debuting on Paramount+ on Sunday, December 19. Told through the eyes of James (Tim McGraw) and Margaret Dutton (Faith Hill), the grandparents of John Dutton (Kevin Costner), the Yellowstone prequel series gives a deeper insight into what exactly the Dutton family went through to secure their land way back when.

The new series are said to be even bigger and bolder than Yellowstone — bet you didn't think that was possible, did you? Since the new shows don't have to fit a cable time slot, Deadline reports that they'll have less commercials and more drama a.k.a. everything we could ever ask for.
