Having grown up admiring the design work of Dorothy Draper, Bunny Williams, and her own designer mother, it should come as little surprise that Clary Bosbyshell tends towards classic style. But, since starting her own firm in January 2019 after working alongside her mother for 9 years, Bosbyshell has developed an aesthetic that infuses old-school American style with current comfort—and a bit of the unexpected. “I try to create timeless interiors that layer color and pattern with a mix of fine antiques and one-of-a-kind pieces,” she says. “My work is both elegant and practical.”

With her eye to the past, Bosbyshell also has a certain fascination with working in historic homes—a full renovation on of a 1930s home by the architect Neel Reed in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood stands out as her favorite project. Grandmillennials, this just may be your new favorite designer.
