Actor Jordi Vilasuso asked fans for prayers while sharing the devastating news that his newborn daughter Lucy has been moved to the neonatal intensive care unit after being hospitalized with Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV).
In a joint Instagram post the actor–who is best known for his role as Rey Rosales in The Young and The Restless–made with his wife, Kaitlin, shared to the social media platform over the weekend, the couple detailed the difficult situation, which appeared to have begun bubbling up earlier in the week.
"Ah friends.. we come to you coveting your prayers yet again," the Vilasusos began. "I feel like all I do is ask you all for prayers or thank you for prayers.. I suppose that is just the season we’re in right now."
"We found out Monday that Lucy had RSV and by Monday night she had been admitted to the hospital w/ difficulty breathing," Jordi said of the situation affecting the couple's daughter, who was born a little premature earlier this month.
"Last night, things unexpectedly took a turn for the worse and she was moved to NICU w/ what the doctors described as a partially collapsed right lung," the post continued. "I am still struggling to believe this as I type."
"Please please pray with us for miraculous healing for Lucy’s precious little body. We love her so much and just want her home and happy and in our arms," the couple concluded.
It didn't take long for fans and fellow Hollywood stars to share their well wishes and prayers, with actress Loren Lott writing, "Praying so much! Get better Lucy!"
"Praying for your baby girl ????????????????," added Lana Parrilla.
"Oh honey! Lifting her up (and all of you) in prayer," shared Jordi's co-star Ashley Jones. "Please God, put your healing hands on Lucy."
