YouTuber dad's account is suspended after he 'pranks' children by secretly feeding them laxatives
Another day, another guy given too large a platform on YouTube, and making a highly questionable decision on how they treat their children.
Cordero James Brady, a father who oversees the YouTube channel CJ SO COOL, has been suspended after he uploaded a video of himself playing a cruel prank on three of his children. The video shows Brady grinding up a child laxative and putting it on his kids’ ice cream; then it shows children in tears as they sit on the toilet.
The “King of Pranks,” as he calls himself, is now temporarily banned from YouTube, and the video has been permanently removed (although savvy searchers can find it uploaded on other accounts.)
This episode is not the first time Brady has been called out for pranking his children to the point of tears. His channel, which boasts 5,690,424 subscribers, also includes videos like Fed The Kids Dog Doo Doo PRANK!, another video where his son is in tears believing that his Playstation was destroyed, and a video where he tricks his partner, Royalty, into thinking that her infant has drowned in the pool.
In March of 2017, Brady even shared a video of Royalty lying in a hospital bed after suffering a miscarriage, which may suggest Brady sees that nothing is too personal to share on his channel.
Dr. Kortney Peagram, the founder of Bulldog Solution, an anti-child abuse organization, told babe.net that “Harming your child on purpose with laxatives is child abuse. That’s child endangerment.”
Peagram continued, “That [Brady is] harming his children and bullying them to pull pranks on each other is really disturbing. He’s modeling inappropriate behavior and encouraging it by laughter. … He’s teaching his children that it’s OK to harm each other for a good laugh.”
Brady’s channel is monetized by YouTube, which means that he can earn money from views and likes on his videos.
YouTube released a statement stating that “content that endangers minors is unacceptable to us and we have strict policies prohibiting child endangerment and harmful and dangerous content. We remove content that violates our policies as soon as we’re made aware of it.”
