Zach Eliminates 'Aggressive' Contestant After One of Worst Kisses in 'Bachelor' History
Zach Shallcross reacts to Monday’s premiere shocker after 'forced, awkward' kiss from dominating contestant Madison.
Zach Shallcross had to let a bizarre competitor for his heart self-eliminate on the season premiere of The Bachelor season 27.
And he exclusively explained to Parade that Madison Johnson got a little too physical!
He admitted after viewers saw his kiss with her, one of the worst in Bachelor history, “It was a forced kiss.”
Fans of the hit ABC reality show saw on Monday night’s episode how the brunette Fargo, North Dakota beauty, 27, was determined to get Zach’s attention.

Madison, one of the 30 hopeful women, gave Zach a snow hat from her chilly hometown during cocktail party one-on-one time with him.
They hugged but she was disappointed not to get a kiss at that moment.
She gushed to the other ladies how sweet Zach seemed, and wouldn’t give up.
Madison rudely interrupted the bachelor’s private chat with another woman, grabbing him for herself again.
They hugged a second time, and swung their arms back and forth while doing the “griddy dance.”
Madison then compelled a kiss from Zach—but it was a disaster!
The business owner who consults for the medical aesthetic industry and has described herself as a Botox fan, moaned to the cameras, “The kiss was subpar. It was literally a peck.”
Zach, 26, said in confessional, “The kiss felt wrong.”
Madison was then seen sobbing in embarrassment, “I want to be wanted.”
As other women took their turns getting to know the hunky tech exec, with some enjoying great kisses, Madison was crying in a Bachelor mansion room!
She emerged to steal Zach away from his chat with host Jesse Palmer.
“I don’t want to force things,” Madison told Zach when they were alone. She asked if he truly wanted her on his journey.
Zach kindly thanked her for being there but stressed that he didn’t want to lie.
“My heart wasn’t feeling it,” with her, Zach admitted. “I don’t see a future with us.”
He gave her a hug goodbye and Madison, crying hysterically, left The Bachelor mansion in her gown and high heels, tottering off the property and into the van for home.
In her departing confessional, Madison whined that she had given up her life for him and sobbed, “What did I do wrong?”
Zach told the other ladies about Madison’s departure before the rose ceremony.
Afterwards, Zach noted to Parade about Madison, “You can’t force it. If it’s not there, it’s not there and to me, I’d be doing everyone a disservice if I wasn’t to be honest that, hey, it’s clearly not meshing. Like, if it’s already forced or awkward, and there’s no way of seeing getting over this, it doesn’t do anyone good to have you stay here, away from your family, your friends, and everything.”
Although Zach diplomatically told Parade, “I respect the effort and all of that,” about Madison trying to monopolize his time, he added, “It was a little aggressive and if it doesn’t feel like it’s mutual, that’s an answer in itself.”
