3 New Ways to Use Christmas Ornaments

So the tree looks absolutely perfect.  Not one more bulb, or keepsake can go on it.  What to do with all those little darlings still in the boxes waiting to be hung?  You can’t just leave them on the side line, poor things have been boxed away all year! Showcase them on their own….   Here are a few ways you can still give life to those treasures that didn’t make the cut.

Materials:

  • Leftover ornaments

  • Ribbon

  • Candle sticks

  • Jingle bells

  • Glass Dome

  • Beaded garland

  • Card stock as wide as dome

Tools:

  • Hot glue

  • Scissors

Instructions for Ornament Hang:

  1. Cut various lengths of various ribbons and tie to each ornament.

  2. Gather up all the ribbons in one hand and gently pull the lengths to various layers so all ornaments are showing.

  3. Tie a slip knot at the top and wrap the ends of ribbon around the slip knot ( like a man’s tie) and tuck ends in.

Instructions for Candlestick display:

  1. Hot glue an ornament in the place of a candle stick.

  2. Wrap a bit of beaded garland around the top of candlestick to fill the gap, hot glue in place.

  3. Spread a few jingle bells around the base for “confetti” effect.

Instructions for Dome:

  1. Turn dome upside down

  2. Fill with ornaments

  3. Using a piece of card stock cover the open side, flip the dome over where you want to place it, and slid the card stock out.
