Stick it
It’s amazing how many pieces of clothing you’ll find clumped on your closet floor, having slipped from their hangars. Implement this simple DIY No Slip Hangar solution provided by the blogger, Jillee of One Good Thing by Jillee (using rubber bands, pipe cleaners and hot glue) will keep clothes on hangars, where they belong.

Store it
If you have last season’s clothes to store, those plastic comforter bags you usually toss out make perfect cheap, space saving storage bags. They can go under beds, up on shelves or stacked up just about anywhere. Attempting Aloha shows us how:

Don’t forget the shoes
Shoes take up so much closet space, it’s a constant workaround to find a happy home for them. If you have the luxury of space, nothing beats boxes with photos documenting the shoes inside. The Coveteur shows us how with this peek inside the fab closet of Pamela Skaist Levy of Skaist Taylor and Co-founder of Juicy Couture. Organize shoes by season by color coding the boxes with brightly colored gaffers tape. For example: bright green tape for summer sandals, black tape for winter boots, etc. Photos taped to the outside will make access even easier.
All of this organization means you may be getting rid of lots stuff. There are amazing places to pass on your things where they will be placed in the hands of people in need - perfect with the season of giving right around the corner. If you have any great before and after photos of your closet organization hacks, please post it to our Facebook page. We can’t wait to see what you’ve done!
