The only problem with a crown of real flowers, however, is that it won’t last you very long. When wearing the real deal, it’s very likely that you’ll have a limp ring of flowers lying on top of your head by the end of the evening. So, we suggest swapping out fresh blooms for silken ones. As you may have noticed, these days, the faux variety are made to look incredibly realistic and can often be mistaken for the real thing.

Your local craft store is likely to have a whole section devoted to these brightly colored beauties, which means you’ll have a lot to chose from. Whether it’s for you or your little girl, we think 20 minutes putting a crown of petals together, is 2o minutes well spent.
Materials:
Wired faux branch or faux leafy vine
Silk flowers
Tools:
Hot glue gun
Instructions:
1. Using your own head for a measurement, make a ring shaped headband with the wired branch, set aside.
2. Snip off silk flowers, leaving a few inches of wire stem attached.
3. Position the silk flowers, one by one, on your wired branch headband, and twist through and around the wires to intertwine with your flowers. Secure the flowers with hot glue.
4. Add as many flowers as you need to cover the front of headband.
