Stop Her Heart and Smell the Roses

If you’re going to throw a pink themed Valentine’s Day party, you must visit your local florist because what shows off pink better than beautiful pink flowers?

Materials

• Flowers, approximately 18

• Sheet moss

• Floral water picks, 2 inches long

• Greening pins

• 5 pieces of oasis

Steps

1. Place your floral oasis end to end on your table surface.  Pin together on the top seams with greening pins.  It will appear as one long runner.

2. Cover your floral oasis runner with moss, attaching the moss with greening pins.

3. Trim flower stems so they fit down fully into water picks (about 1.5 inches).

4. Spacing every two inches or so, press a water pick into the oasis until the top is flush with the moss surface.

5. Fill each water pick with water and place flowers with 1.5 inch stems in water picks.

Hints & Clues: Make this project on an unfolded garbage bag to protect the surface of your table.  This also allows you to move the table runner from your work space to your table top.
