Valentine’s Day always has us feeling like we’ve got to come up with something really original to give our friends and loved ones. You know that feeling - the one that niggles in the back of your brain, telling you you can’t just give a card or a box of chocolates, because that’s what everyone else is doing! Well, the reason everyone else is doing that, is because it’s easy, and with all the running around we do, sometimes easy is the only way to go!

The key is to find something really simple to do, that takes you very little time, yet still leaves you (and the person you’re giving it to) feeling like you went the extra mile. It’s the magic formula - the one that satisfies your need for “homemade” and simplicity.

So this Valentine’s Day, instead of buying a card and writing out a quick message, say it sweetly with a little left-over holiday candy! Not only are you making a lovely little Valentine, you’re also finding new opportunity for using those candy canes left on the shelf. Two birds, one stone! Bonus? With candy canes already in the house, this is a no-cost V-Day gift!

3. Let the candy canes cool, so they re-harden.
