DIY a Cozy, Faux Fireplace

Not all of us are lucky enough to have a fireplace where we live, and it sure is the season to enjoy a warm glow and the smell of pine needles…. so….. We’ve got an idea. Let’s make a ‘fireplace’ that we can put any where we like and dream of holiday moments all gathered around the light. Its kind of like a holiday floral arrangement but with wonderful imagination!

Materials:

  • Wood kindling

  • Small wood logs

  • Pine boughs

  • String of Christmas lights

  • Wooden Crate or box

  • Oasis floral foam bricks

Instructions:

  1. Line the bottom of the crate with the oasis (for height when putting in the wood).

  2. Put in the kindling and the small logs on their ends into the crate.

  3. Lay in the string of lights leaving a length hanging on the outside to attach to an extension.

  4. Cover the lights with the boughs of pine so only a small glimmer shows through.
