Dollar Store Candles Dressed Up
Katie BrownEditor in Chief
Updated
The dollar store is full of hidden treasures. When you least expect it, you find something perfect for your home, buried in between boxes of cornstarch and plastic spoons. One thing you’re sure to find at most dollar stores are tall, glass candles. Sometimes they’re decorated with ornate paintings, but others are plain and pretty boring. Why not dress them up?
Materials:
Glass candles
Washi or masking tape
Wooden or metallic stars
Tools:
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Instructions:
1. Cut strips of colorful tape.
2. Tape words across the front of your glass candles. You can also create houses along the bottom edge.
3. If you’re making a house, glue a star on top of the house. If you’re writing words, just keep it simple.
