"Jaws" Obsessed Uncle Makes An Epic DIY Shark Crib

You know that cool uncle – the one who’s a little wacky, has an out-there job and took you to see movies your parents wouldn’t when you were a kid? Well, baby Mikey Melaccio does – or, at least he will when he’s old enough to recognize it. His uncle just built him what may be the coolest crib out there!

Joseph Reginella is a New York-based toy and prop designer, who let his imagination run wild when he learned of Mikey’s upcoming arrival. A huge Jaws fan, Reginella conversed with his friend Robert Hough one night at a tiki bar and came up with the plans for this bassinette-with-bite.

His creation has garnered him much attention, and we’re pretty sure calls will be coming in from avid fans across the country sooner rather than later. We suggest you clear your schedule, Mr. Reginella – Shark Week may come early this year!

Looks like Mikey’s family may be more excited about this creation than he is, at the moment - but we’re pretty sure that will change in a few years.
