Nutty Salt and Pepper Shakers

“Pass the Salt n Pepper, please”   Say it no more…. When your guests sit down to your table give them a personal touch by giving them their very own salt n peppers.  It’s a nutty idea.  Gold for it.

Materials:

• Whole walnuts

• Gold Ink felt pen

• Tiny plastic birds

Tools:

• Hot glue gun

• Oven

Instructions:
1. Bake your walnut at 250 degrees for 35 minutes, let cool
2. Crack your toasted walnuts in perfect halves by using a thin knife right in  the crack
3. Clean the nut meat out of the shells
4. Paint the inside rim of the half shell with the gold pen

5. Paint the little birds with the gold pen
6. Hot glue the birds to the edge of the half shell as a handle
