Ditch the Traditional Votive: Spoon-Art Roses are Perfect for Spring
We’re always looking for new ways to incorporate candles into our decor. They add warmth and luxury to any room, and we just can’t get enough of them. With spring on our minds, and flowers beginning to pop their heads out everywhere, we were inspired to create these pretty rose votives, perfect for this freshly blooming season.
The good news? Whether flowers have begun to bloom in your area or not, fake rose petals make this DIY totally doable.
Materials:
Fake rose petals
Battery votive tea light
Plastic spoons
Tools:
Garden snips
Hot glue gun
Instructions:
1. Snip the handles off of the plastic spoons.
2. Hot glue a row of spoons around the top of the votive and let them dry.
3. Hot glue a petal onto each spoon following its curves and let it dry.
4. Hot glue a second row of spoons a bit lower on the votive and let it dry.
5. Hot glue a petal onto each spoon in the same way.
6. Hot glue a row of petals around the base to cover any parts of the votive not already covered with petals.
