Nissan Sharpie Car — Instead of shelling out thousands of dollars to fix a dent in his car, this member of the U.S. Military stationed in Japan called on his girlfriend to use her art skills to cover it up. It took her, a University of Hawaii graduate who studied Fine Arts, more than 100 hours and about 10 Sharpies to complete the entire project. For the drawing to stick on the Nissan sports car for good, it was then covered with a clear coat of car paint. The artist even hid personal messages in her doodles such as Japanese characters and “Lost Birds” written within the many curlicues.

Silver Nissan Sharpie Car — Artist Ted Mikulski’s sliver Nissan is the reflection of his belief that art should not only be designated for areas like galleries and studios, but taken to the streets. Taking this idea very literally, his embellished car took 160 hours to completely cover.

Star Wars Sharpie Car — Ken Lashley is a comic book artist and at San Diego ComicCon he took his drawing skills from paper to auto part. Lashley has produced several images for LucasFilms, the production company behind “Star Wars,” and in 2011 drew in front of an audience on the convention floor on every inch of a Volkswagen Passat’s body using 35 sharpies over 3 days.

Lamborghini Sharpie Car — If you’re going to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a sports car why wouldn’t you make it look like it’s one-of-a-kind. Graffiti artist Jona Cerwinske did just that by tagging a $240,000 Lamborghini. The car was commissioned by Brett David to honor his father, Irv David, who had recently passed away. David asked Cerwinske to create something intriguing, turning a classic vehicle into something iconic.
