These days, the manicure has gone far beyond a few coats of your favorite color. In fact, most salons offer such a variety of gems, jewels and nail art patterns, that it can be hard to walk out of there with a simple coat of red polish.
The problem? The price tag. If you chose to add sparkle or jewels to your nails, it can set you back anywhere between $3 and $10 per nail, on top of the cost of a regular manicure.

This is when you do it yourself! Some microfine glitter and a little clear nail polish will add a sparkly tip your basic mani in a lot less time than it takes to get down to the nail salon and back.
Materials:
Pink nail polish
Clear nail polish
Micro glitter
Tiny gem
Tools:
Small brush
Instruction:
1. Paint your nails a base color pink. We chose pale pink, but any shade is great!
2. Paint just the tips of your nails with the clear polish..
3. Dip your nail tips into the micro glitter jar, shake off the excess and let them dry.
4. Use the dry brush to brush away any stray bits of glitter from your fingertips.
5. Dab a little bit of clear polish in the center of one nail, and place a tiny gem on top of it. Let it dry.
