Steps:

  1. Cut your ribbon into 4-inch pieces in the quantity of guests that will be arriving.

  2. Write inspirational words, messages, or your guests’ names on ribbon pieces.

  3. Punch two holes in the ribbon on both ends and thread the floral wire through one side and out the other, just like making a stitch.

  4. Bend the floral wire at a right angle, making a flag-like form.

  5. Using your hand as a vase, begin making a small arrangement in your hand, placing the largest bloom in the center and working smaller flowers down and around, placing flowers at different heights.  After you have gathered 4-8 stems together, wrap the long end of the wire tags around.

  6. Arrange your small favor bouquets in a basket to form one large arrangement.

HINTS:

  • Know the needs of your flowers. How much light they require, what time of year to plant them, when and how much to water them.

  • When planting in containers, drainage is a key issue. Put a stone to cove the hole in a clay pot, and in pots without a hole, add a layer a pebbles, then sand then potting soil to keep their roots happy.
