Instructions:
1. Snip your marigold and carnation flower heads off right at the base
2. Thread your needle with embroidery thread doubled over, but do not make a knot
3. Begin threading 4 marigolds, then 2 carnations, then 4 marigolds, then 2 carnations (you can make whatever pattern you like).
4. Arrange a small bouquet of ‘tail’ grasses and spray flowers for the ends and fasten with thread, leaving a long piece for tying.
5. Attach each tail by simply tying your ends to the ‘bouquets’
Instructions are listed above, but here is a direct transcript from our video:
"Flowers, flowers and more flowers! Nothing is more fun! They are bright, bold and beautiful and frankly, fun to work with.
But if you sometimes get intimidated and are not sure you can arrange the flawless bouquet, fear not, because the mighty garland is here.
The only tools you need?
A needle and a thread.
Get comfy, thread the needle with a thread close to the color of your flowers,
Tie a knot at one end, keeping in mind to cut the thread properly for the length of garland you want.
Trim your flowers so that you cut off all the stems, leaving only the flower heads.
String your flowers, one by one, through the bottom of each flower head.
Tie up two small bundles of flowers with a bit of greenery, using the same thread, and then tie to either end of your garland. To make sure the flowers last, mist daily with water, using a spray bottle.
Place the garland around a doorway, across a mantle or down a table.
Who says imaginative flower arranging has to be hard?”
