15 Questions With Lucas Hedges: Get to Know the Breakout Star of 'Manchester by the Sea'
Kenneth Lonergan’s acclaimed film Manchester by the Sea is one of the most devastating dramas in years, with emotionally rich performances by Oscar-nominated actors Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams.
The film comes with a touch of levity, too, thanks in large part to a revelatory performance from its breakout star, Lucas Hedges. He plays Patrick, the hockey-playing, band-practicing, multiple-girlfriend-having nephew who comes under the custody of Affleck’s tormented handyman after the death of his brother (Kyle Chandler).
You can meet the 19-year-old Brooklyn native (whose father is Pieces of April writer-director Peter Hedges) in the video above as he answers 15 rapid-fire questions about himself.
Among the best tidbits, we learn Hedges’s favorite Harry Potter movie (The Goblet of Fire, which he’s seen “like 20 times”), his presidential ambitions — or lack thereof (his first act would be to sit courtside at a Knicks game), and that he has a juggling video on YouTube called “Juggle Me Crazy.” Here’s the link. You’re welcome.
Manchester by the Sea is now in theaters.
