Update May 27, 2015: New footage uploaded to social media on Wednesday reveals a Bat-suited stuntman on top of the Jokermobile. See below for the latest.
Original story:
Just over a week ago we got our first peek at the Joker’s sweet ride in Suicide Squad, a pimped-out Vaydor “supercar.” Now get ready for a glimpse of the latest incarnation of the O.G. supercar in action.
Fan-spies camped out on the Toronto set of Suicide Squad this weekend captured video of a chase between Joker’s ride and the brand-new Batmobile. The slow-speed pursuit, which will presumably be sped up in post-production, gives us a good look at Batman’s vehicle.

This new model seems like a hybrid of the Batmobile in the Arkham video-game series (which has influenced the visual style of the upcoming Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice) and a sleeker Tumbler from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

The new, weaponized car continues the evolution from the Lincoln Futura concept that served as the inspiration for Adam West’s 1966 TV Batmobile and the subsequent Batcars of Tim Burton’s 1980s reboot.
Batmobile lineup from 'The Batmobile’ (Warner Bros.)
While Ben Affleck, who was spotted on set a month ago, will be reprising his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman opposite Jared Leto’s Joker in the David Ayer-helmed Suicide Squad, it’s not immediately clear if this is the same Batmobile that will be featured in the next year’s other big Warner Bros.-DC tentpole, Batman v Superman.
Last fall, BvS director Zack Snyder tweeted out a few images of his Batmobile to debunk grainy, purported sneak peeks that had surfaced on social media.

Ostensibly a sequel to Man of Steel and a set-up to Justice League, Batman v. Superman returns Henry Cavill as the titular Kryptonian with Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. It hits theaters March 25, 2016.
Suicide Squad, meanwhile, focuses on a team of supervillains pressed into service by a shadowy government organization. Affleck and Leto will be joined by Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag) for the film, due out August 5, 2016.
