Speaking with us shortly after the Comic-Con debut of the film’s first trailer, Hunnam admits that, while it was hard to gauge just how wild the audience was for the clip, they struck him as “pretty rambunctious.” More important, he found the promo extremely encouraging, telling us that it “looks really original and unique, and like it has its own identity.”

Plus, he says that, aside from its copious sword-fighting, screaming, and supernatural creatures, it also has the one element that all true contenders for the box office crown need: “It’s got abs.”
