See the 'Suicide Squad' Cast's Comic-Con Appearance
The bad boys and girls of Suicide Squad are still in the middle of filming in Toronto, but the entourage of evil still found time to descend on San Diego’s Comic-Con for a bow at the Warner Bros. panel on Saturday. (You can watch their portion of the panel in the video above.) Director David Ayer took to the stage to tell the crowd, “All this good versus evil s— is played out right now. It’s time for bad versus evil, right?” He then introduced a special Comic-Con teaser that set the stage for the superhero adventure about a murderers’ row of DC Comics villains. (The official clip has yet to be released online, alas.)
Then Ayer brought out most of his cast including Karen Fukuhara (Katana), Adam Beach (Slipknot), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Joel Kinnaman (Col. Rick Flag), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), and Will Smith (Deadshot). Costar Jared Leto didn’t make the panel, though his creepy, cackling Joker provided a memorable kicker to the teaser footage. “I’m not gonna kill you,” his tatted-up villain says. “I’m just gonna hurt you really, really bad.” Suicide Squad is due to hit theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
