“Jason Bourne would kick the s— out of Batman—absolutely!“ Damon told E! News at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he’s promoting his sci-fi thriller The Martian (in theaters Oct. 2).
Damon added that the Batman-vs-Superman showdown would be a good warm-up for a Batman-vs-Bourne match. “Batman’s gotta take on Superman first,” he joked. “If he could beat him, then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne.”
The actor added that he personally had no desire to play a cinematic superhero. “I think they’re kind of out of superheroes,” said Damon. “Ben’s going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don’t think there’s really any left. So I’m good. Jason Bourne is my superhero.”
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theaters on March 25. The fifth Bourne movie, which is still untitled, is slated to open on July 29. As for Bourne v Batman: So Many Chase Scenes, we’ll just have to wait and see.
